Nicolas Bornozis — Biography

Nicolas Bornozis is the Founder and President of Capital Link, an international investor relations and financial communications firm with a strong focus on shipping and Greece. For more than four decades, he has worked at the intersection of international finance, capital markets, shipping, and Greece, building bridges between the Greek and American business communities.

A graduate of Athens College, the University of Athens Law School and Harvard Business School, Mr. Bornozis began his career in New York in international banking and finance, with early experience in shipping finance. Prior to founding Capital Link, he served as President and CEO of CCF International Finance Corp., the U.S. broker-dealer subsidiary of Crédit Commercial de France, and subsequently founded and managed Alexander Capital and Alexander Asset Management.

Since establishing Capital Link in 1995, Mr. Bornozis has devoted a significant part of his professional life to promoting Greece and Greek shipping internationally. Through Capital Link's conferences, investor relations activities, and financial communications, he has helped bring Greek companies and the Greek economy to the attention of U.S. and international investors, while raising awareness of the global importance and strength of Greek shipping.

In 1994, he organized the first roadshow in the United States for the Athens Stock Exchange, helping introduce the Greek capital market to American investors. He subsequently established the Capital Link Invest in Greece Forum in New York, which has become a premiere longstanding platform bringing together Greek and U.S. government, business, investment, and financial leaders to promote Greece as a destination for investment, entrepreneurship, and economic cooperation. In its 28th year, it is the longest running investment forum about Greece held outside of Greece brining together Government, business leaders, financers and investors from Greece and the United States.

Mr. Bornozis has also played a prominent role in raising the international profile of Greek shipping. Capital Link has become a leading advisor and communications platform for publicly listed shipping companies. Capital Link holds annually 15 major shipping conferences in 11 countries in the United States, Greece, Europe, and Asia. Through these initiatives, he has worked consistently to connect Greek shipping with the global investment community and to highlight the strategic importance of shipping to the world economy.

His work has been recognized by numerous organizations in Greece and the United States, including the Greek Shipping Lloyd's Awards, the International Propeller Club, and the American Hellenic Institute. In 2023, he was honored as Executive of the Year by the Hellenic-American Bankers Association for his decades-long efforts to promote Greece and Greek shipping internationally. In 2026, Capital Link was one of the Grand Marshals of the Greek Independence Parade in New York.

Throughout his career, Mr. Bornozis has sought to use his professional experience and international network to strengthen the relationship between Greece and the United States and to showcase, on the world stage, the contribution of Greek entrepreneurship and Greek shipping.
